Resumen

El proceso de transición hacia la Industria 4.0 implica una serie de adecuaciones en las empresas centradas en la automatización, la conectividad y la información digital, lo que supone la selección de tecnologías que le permitan tener un proceso más acertado y mejore su desempeño (Ciulli, 2019; Prause, 2019). Este artículo tiene el objetivo de identificar las tecnologías necesarias que deben de tomar en cuenta las grandes empresas de países con diferentes perfiles industriales para alcanzar un alto nivel de adopción de tecnología y tener éxito en la dinámica de transición hacia la Industria 4.0. El marco de Tecnología, Organización y Medio Ambiente (TOE, por sus siglas en inglés) sirve como referencia teórica en este estudio (Tornatzky y Fleischer, 1990). La metodología utilizada es el Análisis Cualitativo Comparado en su variante fuzzy-set (fsQCA, por sus siglas en inglés). Los resultados muestran que las tecnologías como el Cloud Computing (CC), el Cifrado y Ciberseguridad (CCS), el Análisis de Big Data (ABD), la Inteligencia Artificial (IA), el Procesamiento de Imagen y Voz de Texto (PIVT) y el Comercio Electrónico y Comercio Digital (CECD) son necesarias para que las grandes empresas de los países analizados puedan alcanzar un alto nivel de adopción de tecnología.
